George Waters Middle School offers a full range of academic programs to meet the needs of our students. Beyond a rich academic program, George Waters Middle School is known for the following key programs: VEST (Virtual Enterprise Systems Technologies), PDHS (Program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students), Hockey Academy, Arts Education (Art, Band, Choral, Leisure Art, Computer Art, Drama, Film Studies, Robotics, Active Living), and Practical Arts (Home Economics, Woodworking, Electronics).

V.E.S.T., the Virtual Enterprise Systems Technologies, is a one of a kind program in the St. James School Division. Students design, produce and market products while learning the technologies that are involved in these processes.  Students learn a variety of Mac based programs as well as Automated Handling (Pegasus Robot) and using the CNC Mill.

George Waters is proud to offer The Canadian Hockey Skills Academy Program.  The Canadian Hockey Skills Academy Program is an initiative developed in response to one of the 11 recommendations from the 1999 Molson Open Ice Summit on player development in Canada.

PDHS, Program for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Students, is here to provide access to an equitable education in an integrated setting for d/Deaf and Hard-Of-Hearing students from grade 6 - grade 12.
